Loan Hau For Water Supply Alterations
The attention of . ratepayers of the borough is drawn. to an announoement in this issue whereby the Shannon Borough Council proposes, at its. meeting to be held on May 4, 1948, to consider a motion to apply to the LocaV Government Loans Board for its sanctioh to the borrowing of the sum of £1500 for the purpose of laying fpux-inch water mains along Clapham Street, fco Ballance Street, and. from Ballance Street to Vogel Street. As security for the purpose of repayment of the'special loan and the payment of interest thereon, the council proposes to make and levy a special rate of l/8th of one penny in the pound (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property within the borough' of Shannon.. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit tiieir objection, in writing," to' the Shannon Borough Council not later tharr the" day preceding the said meeting, namely May 4.
