Further Tasman Charter Flights Arranged
AUCKLAND, April 9. Arrangements for further charter flights between Auckland and Sydney were announced to-day by Tasman Empire Airways Ltd. The company said there would be two charter flights before April 19 a'nd a further two in the following week. Under eartier arrangements chartered aircraft will malce crossings to-morrow and on Sundav. Although Australian National Airways had previously indicated its mabilitv to pr'ovide aircraft for further charter flights subsequent negotiations between the Australian and New Zealand Governments have resulted in the provision by. Australian National Airways of sufficient Skymaster aircraft to maintain a skeleton -service during the next few weeks., said the company 's statement. Two return charter flights will be made before" April 19 and a further two dux-ing the following week. It -may be possible after April 25 to maintain a frequeney. of six flights a .Week. The timetabie to which -the charter -flights will operate is not yet ltnown, but in all probability Che ' aircraft will land at "Whenuapai at 8.30 a.m. and leave for Sydney two liours later.
