IN VERCAIUtILIj, April 9. The fonr-year terni of the members of thc Invercai-gill Lieensiiig Trust will expire at the end of. tiiis month. Provision is made in tlie Act that memliers may lse reap])ointed from time to time, but ro far no advice about appoiutments for the new term has been received. Xhe Trust was now in a sound finaneial position and there was uo risk involved. The ^Masterton licensing- trust will beg-in operations on May 1 when it will open bottle stores, aceording to. the Mayor of ^Masterton (Mr. W. T\emp) who, with the town elerk of IMasterton (IMn D. T. Herbert) ij visiting* Invercargill. Mr. Kemp added that the Masterton Trust and ('ounei] were working with one end in view: To mahe- a success of the experiment.
