'W The death occurred at the Hutt Hospital yesterday of Mr. W. J. Row, aged 85 years, who resided in Otaki for many years, being in business as a cycle agent. Mr. Row had the first motor-car m this district. His widow and a daughter, Mrs. Doii Grant, of Te Horo, and an adop.ted son, William, are left to mourn their loss. Mr. Row had enjoyed good health until a recent date, and is well-known • and highly respected in Otaki. Band and Marohing Team • The Otaki Band anri '-arcliing team, the "Bandoliers," intend holding a combined practice on the dornain at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Snow On Ranges The cold snap on Wednesday night and yesterday morning brought with it the first fali of .snow on the Tararua Ranges. Roofmg Iron Stolen • The theft of roofing iron from the top of a shed at Tasman Beach has been carried out in a baref aced way.
