'' The annual meeting of the Levin Music Ciub was held in the Presbyterian Church Hall on Tuesday ! night, the. retiring president, Mrs. j F. S. Alton, presiding' over a large attcndance of members. ! In her report to the meeting, ; Mrs. Allen stated that the club had ■ coneluded the year with 32 memi l)ers. A ch'oir had been formed and 'had proved a great success under jthe capable -direction of Mr. F. jBaumber, with Mrs. A. B. ColeA as I accompanist. It was to be hoped i that other groups of this nature ! would be forme-d during the co'm- ! ing season. Unfortunately the club had been Ivery short of vocal soloists at i times, and it had been very difficult ! to balance the programmes. In conclusion, Mrs. Allen extended her tlianks to the members of the committee who had worked and co"jperated with her throughout the year. She then wished all the members a successful and happy season. It was decided by the club that the membership shouM be open ond not be restricted as in previous years. The eiection of officers resulted as follows: — President: Mr. F. Baumber; vice-president: Mrs. F. S. Allen: secretary-treasurer: Miss D. A. Nalder; committee: Mesdames A. Haley, N. Thornley and H. C. Easton. f
