The year ha'd been a successfuone, said Mrs. Harvey in her repori to the meeting, the membership at present totalling 37, while manj sthers were interested in joinjng During the year the elub had been fortunate in hearing several speak ers, including Mrs. J, Corry, wh( had given a very interesting address on her visit to Spain. SiSter Wood had lectured on home nurs* ing, while Sister Hight had given £ talk on the many interesting and amusing experiences encountere'w dur.ng her career as a Plunket nurse. The only demonstrator had been Mrs. R. W. Evans, who had shown the many ways of using and arranging flowers. Mrs. Harvey extended her thanks to therrT for their help. Pour social evenings had been held during the year and had been enjoye'd by ali who attended. Thanks were due to the social coih-mit.-ee for their work in arranging programmes. Owing to the intantile paralysis outbreak the Christmas party for the children of clufc : members had been abandomd. The ;ciUD's thanks were due to Mr. and 'Mrs. J. P. Bertram for again offering the use of their gpacious ' grounds in which to hold the party. They had expressed a wish that the ■ club use the grounds for tl^e party j each year. - The club had enaeavoured to send flowers to members who had : been in hospital and t> Mrs. A, GIGaipin, who had undertaken the I task of collecting, arranging and ! delivering the flowers to the Otaki • and Levin Hospitals, the club was • greatly indebted. In conclusion, Mrs. Harvey | thanked the committee, secretary ! and treasurer for their support and j work during the past year.
