Personal Two well-known Chmese, Messrs. Chow Lim and Ngan Kut, leave shortly to take ud residence in China. Mr..C. Walters is at present in the Palmerston North Hospital, the result of an injury caused by a norse. Mr. George Haplon, for some years' a resident of Manakau, recently passed away at the Wellington Hospital. The death occurred at the Palmerston' North Hospital recently of Mr'. Richard Hooper, the result of an acci'dent. He .was 80 years, of age and leaves a widow to mourn her loss. Fire Board Meeting The' quarterly ' and annual meetings of the Otaki Fire Board will be held on Wednesday1, April 21. Rainfall In Otaki The rainfall in Otaki for March was 1.61 iriches, the highest being 53 points on the 29th. Rain- fell on eignt days, while there was cairn, at 9.30 a.m. on 17 days. A good close of summer, which offfcially ende'd on March 21. The rainfall for March last year was 1.74 inches, with five rain days.
