WHISKY EXPORTS CHANGED
Received Tuesday, 10.5 a.ni. LONDON, April 5. Britain will cut her whisky experts to some sof t currency eountries during the year beginning May 1, but will maintain,them tc New Zealand to help pay for food. The Minister- of -Food, Mr. John Strachey, announced this today. The overall exports will bc increased to 8,500.000 proof gallon yearly, including 7,500,000 for hard currency -eountries. Soft currency eountries will get 1,000,000 gallons, as compared with the , «present 1,600,000 and the home market 2,000,000, compared with 2,600,000 at present. *
