Personal Mrs. Stan. Mitchell, of Oriental Bay, Wellington, who has been J spending a holiday in Otaki, returns to her home on Monday. - The Rev. W. B. Pickering, after five years' residence in Otaki, leaves on holiday on Monday for Auckland, prior to taking up residence at Te Kuiti. Miss Elaine ' Taylor has ~ been appointed librarian at the Otaki library to flll the vacancy caused by the resignation after a number of years of faithful service of Miss Marion Thomson. •At a meeling of the Otaki Footbail Club on Tnursday nignt it was decide'd to wrice to Mrs. T. V. Cahiil expressing the hope that Mr. Cahiil, who is at present .in hospital, would have a speedy recovery. Vital Statistics The vital statistics recorded at Otaki for the month of March were : — Births: European* 15, Iyiaori 3. Deaihs: European 1, Maori nil. Marriages : Seven notiees issued, including one marriage performed by the registrar. For the JanuaryMarch quarter the statistics were: ^-Birth: European 37, Maori 10. Deaths: European 2, Maori 1. Marriages: 16 notiees issued, including two marriages performed by the registrar.
