The present' price of petrol, brought to 2s Okl by the recent increase of ld per galfon, brings the cost to the user back to the peak figure at which it was stabilised during the latter war years. Petrol today is 10L1 dearer a gallon tlian it was just before the outbreak oi war. Kesellers are not advised beforehand of any change" in the price to the user, and last week's rise of ld a gsdlon meant that much extra to resellers on. the actual quantitv thev happened to have»in stock. While thev benefit from any suddem rise like this. thev have to bear any loss when there is a reduction in price.
