Rugby Games Tomorrow
A meeting of the comihittee of the- Otaki F0otbp.ll Club was held last night, the president; Mr. R. Jones, occupying the chai'r. Ther'e was a splendid attendance. It was stated that matches with outside clubs would be played by Rahui and Otaki on-April 10, while Petone will send two teams to Otaki tomorrow. Arrangements were made to entertain the visitors to luncheon and at a smoke concert ih the evening, Mr. Jones generously offering to bear the expense. He was warmly thanked for his offer. One match will take place at 1.45 and the other at 3 p.m. Mr. L. Smith and Mr. M. Hakaraia hav'e been asked to referee.' ? It was agreed that Rahui and Otaki should amalgamatp, and decided to point out to the union the necessity of having six teams in the competitions, it being the wish of all to have one good senior team. A collection will be taken at the gates on Saturday, the funds to be for the benefit of the club. Several donations were ,received from the newly-appointed offlcers of the club.
