WELLIN(tT()N, April 1. Guiding and Scouting are still "the best games in the world" to Lady P.aden-Powell, World Chief Guide, who is visiting New Zealand. In Wellington to-day she spoke with'undiminished enthusiasm of the progress of the great movements whjeh, under the gnidance and leadership of her late husband and herself, are now familiar and esLal>lished in every corner of the glohe. "This is not a pleasure trip exaelly," she tohi newspapermen. "I have aot rome hero just for fnn. I hope most definitely for results whielv 1 kno'w will eonu* 111 the . movement with enhaneed enthusiasm. 1 hope, too, that more aetive interest and sympathy may be aroused arnong the puhlic with a eorresponding tlow of greater snpport. ' ' She added that with all the needles?, disruptive, upsetting forces 111 the world to-day, she believed that Scouting and Guiding were wanted more tlian ever before. Later in the year slie would be attending at Goopcrtown, ia New York State, the hiennial world conference which would ensure that the movement remained inter-racial, interdenominational and international.
