Many A.T.C. Cadets Learn To Fly Solo
WELLINGTON,' April % During the summer up" to Mafch 31, although an extpnSion had been granted for some cadets to finish their courses; 140 air ttaining corps :adets had been trained in abinitio flying by instructors in aero clubs throughout New Zealand. Not one of the cadets has failed to fly solo after receiving iual instruction. Each cadet, when he has completed his course, will have flowxi at least 30 hours in a Tiger Moth. Approximately 30 of the cadets" have applied to the R.N.Z.A.F. for enlistment as N.C.O. aircrew, and two have already- been accepted. The corps and aero clubs have submitted to-the Minister of Defence oimilar schemes for cadet traininJX for next summer. 4 J \
