Otaki Institute Elects New Officers
The annuai meeting of the Otaki Women's Institute was held recently. Mrs. Taylor welcomed members and friends, and two new members, Mesdames Stratford and McCready. Apologies • were received from Mesdames Blyth, Chittick, Nicolson, Turnbull, Kendrick, Townrow, Retter, Allan, Temuera and White. The annuai council meeting will be held at Tawa Flat on April 22, and a bus is to be booked for that date. Members were asked to bring handeraft articles to the April meeting for exhibition at'-the council meeting. The date fixed for the birthday party was April 28, the function to be an evening one. Mrs. Taylor thanked the members for their support during her term as president and vacated, J-ha.chair in favour of Mrs. Clarke, who con.ducted the election of officers. This iesulted as follows: — -President: Mrs, Ross; . committee: Mesdames Radclijfe, Robertson, K. Taylor, Wallington, Parrant, Ingles, Meag ler, Empson, Mould, W. 1'aylor, F. Nicholson and Miss Brown. Points prizes -were won as follows: Mrs. Allan 1, Mrs. Nairn. 2. Mrs. Taylor was presented with a gift of flowers.
