Restoration of Rangiatea Maori Church
. , The' Rangiatea Church restoraiton Fund is now being opened by which it is hoped to raise approximately £4000 to repair and renovate this noble edifice. Rev. Paora Temuera, who is official recCiver, in an appeal to all friends for support of the fund, says that°everyone should take the opportunity of doing ali they can to maintain the church intact fon generations to see ana iearn from. "At the time when Rangiatea was being. built," he continues, "food was the only compensation the workers and builder received for their labour." Things have changed since ! Though money has taken the place of food, the same appeal comes to each of us, as it was to them of old." Contributions may be forwarded to Mr. Temuera, who has received the foiiowing to date: —
