Otaki Bowling Club Ends Its Season
w The Otaki Bowling Club concluded its' season on Easter Monday when the annual match between teams chosen by the president, Mr. W. Wilson, and vice-president, 'Mr. J. D. Avery, -.were pitted against each other. The president's side won by the narrow margin of three games to two and 80 points to 79. Mr. Wilson, in declaring the green closed,- said that the season had beqn most successfui, the green had piayed weii and members had helped considerably. To all who had done so he extended his thanks. Mr. Wilson drew afctention to two forthcommg matches, one against Paraparaumu at Paraparaumu next Saturday and the i other at Karori the i'oiiowing Saturday. ' TxAe cup won by the president's rinks was then handed over by Mr. Avery, who congratulated the opposition on its win. Trophies won during the year were then presented as follows:— Championship singies: Mr. W. Wilson; championship pairs: Messrs. R. Eaton (s") and C. F. Atmore; championship fours: Messrs. R. Eaton (s), R. Purvis, J. Snowden and C. P. Jensen; junior cup: .Mr. W. Jepson; veterans' cup: Mr. N. Barron. .
