Believed to be the linest shipinent ot hand-picked coal to leavc tiie United Jvingdom, about 9000 tons of coal from Eaiu-ashire arrived at Wellington today, bfought by the Rocky Mountains I^ark, The coal is for the New Zealand railways and is the first shipm.ent to he exported fro.n.i Britain to Now Zeafand since 1939. It -was stated bv the Railways "Department that it 'is the first ' shipment of British coal it has -receiye,d since 1924. The coal .on th.e Rocky Mountains J'ark is l)eli,3ved J)j th,e crew of the.ship, to be the finest coal to have been shipped from the (Tnited-' King.dotn at any time. The coal is classed grarle Al by the National Coal Board, Tk-is shipment will be followed by one of a Sunilar amount iri ;th.e Broompark wliijeji 5 s due at Auckland frojn" Immingliam on Sunday. 1
