Lower Hutt Band to Visit Levin
On Sunday the Lower Hutt Civie -Military Band with a complement of some -40 players is to visit Levin under the auspices of -the Levin Boys' Military Band. By special r.equest, they are to p'lay the wedding mareh chosen by Prinqess Elizabeth. This mareh was ca-bled for -and flown -out . to New Zealand and .arranged by the secretary, Mr. Thirkettle. It was played -at -a banh's display in Wellington to' celebrate the Royal wpdding. Bps.id.es this piece, the b.ahd' wijl play -the '^Skaters' Waltz," which W.as especially arranged for this unique cQmbination, and- various other well-known numbers. • They will be assisted by the Levin Municipai Band ' and the Horowhenua Pipe Band. If the time permits., the Leyjn Boys' Band will also provide an item.
