FUrnishing a return of land is an annual. duty imposed by law. on all land owners who at noon on Marcih 31 hold land of - an unimproved value, according to the Government valuatioh, in excess of £500. The urymproved value is the' value of, the land exclusive of buildings, fencing aiid other improvements. Forms are obtainable at all • poSt offtces and at offices of the Land and Income Tax Department, RAturns are: due on April 9 and there is a penalty for 'neglect.
