CIIR I HT( 'HTIR ( ' H, March 29. A huge crowd watched th'e New Zofi land Grand Prix motor eyele racirig ovents held today at Cust in perfeel weather. The senior and open events were won for tiie second time in succession by B. Jensen, Palmerston North, who averaged more than 67 miles an hour over the 152-mile course, to win easily. . -The junior and lightweight -raee.s were won respectively by J. Phillips (Aucltlafid), Who was also thifd in the open and senior events, v a-nd Tk •M cCloary, Jn,r., '.thh'--yotingest-indcr in any of the events. The racing was unmarred by aeci dent, one spill oceurriag and tliv rider being only slightly hurt. liesults were : — Open. and senior grand prix (open for all machines up to lOOOc.c. and aenioi up to aOOc.e.): S. The winner's time for the 152.2 miles was 2 hours 16 minutes 18 2-5secondsf the secopd fastest time in whieh the raee has been run. Junior grand prix (97.7 miles), foi machines up to 350e.&.: J. Phillips (350c.c. Velocette), Auckland, 1; Joe Green (350c.c. Velocette), Auckland, 2; L. Wilkinson (350e.e. Triumph), Christchurch, 3; time 1 hour 33minutes. Lightweight grand prix (73.2 miles), for machines up to 250c.c.: T. McCleary>s Jnr. (OK-Bupreme), Christchurch, 1; time, 1 hour 83 minutes 33 seeonds. McCleary was the only lightweight machine rider to finish the course/
