Received Tuesday, Noon LONDON, March 29. Moscow radio 'today quoted the Tass news agency denial of the reports that Russian submarinee were off American shores. • Last Thursday the United States Navy- Secretary, Mr. Sullivan state'd that submarines "not belonging tany nation west of the iron eurtain" had been sighted off American shores. The Tass agency said: "Several American newspapers have taken up Mr. Sullivan's statement and j are disseminating sensational rumours to the effect that Russian submarines have been sighted near the United States coast. Tass has been authorised to deny -these reports as absurd aird grosslj slanderous, and calculated t* deceiVb American public opinion."
