Mr. R. „W. McCutcheon, of Silverstream, was a visitor to Levin during the weekend. Mr. J. T. Martin, chairman andmanaging directbr of Wright Ste^phenson and Cdf, Ltd., has decided 'to retire from these' positions at the annual meeting of the company in September nexb Mr. S. C. Sutherland, manager at Dunedin, has been appointed to succeed Mr. Martin and will make Wellington his headquarters. Mr. W.- P. Lindsay, manager of Abraham and Williams, Ltd., at Taumarunui, will succeed Mr. SUtherland at Dunedin, and Mr. E. J. Doogue, head auctioneer at Dunedin, has been promoted to manager at Taumarunui. Mr. G.-L. Austin, auctioneer at Oamaru, will take Mr. Doogue's place in Dunedin.
