The North Islund ntarchlng championship was decided at. Rotorua on Saturday in fine weather an'd before a crowd ftumbering over 5000. Horowhenua was represented by Caledonian, Levin, . who was placed fifth in the large entry of 33 teams. - The outstanding feature of the contest was. the awarding of the p-dssible points of 50 to the best. leader, Miss N. Rennie, D.I.C., Wanganui, who was closely followed by '.Miss E. Gledhill, . oi the . Clarion team, Wellington, with 494 points, "while Miss S. Smith Of Caledonian, Levin, gained third pia'ce with 49 .points equal with State Forest and RoyaletteS.
