Comment on the action of the Victoria University College Students' Association executive in deciding to congratulate Mr, Gottwald; on the triuinph of democracy in Czechoslovakia was made Jbo-night by Mr.-, J. A. Nathan,- president of. the Auckland University - College Students'1 Association.' "The Auckland Association executive," Mr. Nathan said, "is not in the habit of expressing its opinion on politieal deveiopments in countries several thousand pf miles from New Zealand. While the actions of the Victoria executive are its own aftair in my opinion the vast majority oi members of the Auckland Association would wish to • be dissociated, from the implication that they share' the apparent elation of. the Victoria executive on the aecession to power ■ of a Communist dominated Government in Czechoslovakia. "
