Hockey Association To Be Revived
An enthusiastic hockey meeting was held in the bandroom, Levin, on Tuesday night, presided over by Mr. L. V. Trass-: Twenty-two" persons were present, representing Te Horo, Otaki and Levin. The object of the meeting was to find out how many teams would be forthcoming, and in this regard it was estimated that five ladies' and four men's teams could be organised. It was then decided to revive the Hofowhenua Hockey Association, which has been in recess for g number of years. As the former. president and secretary .were nof in attendance, it was decided to ask them to~call an annual meeting in Otaki next Monday night so that a new committee could be functionIng early in the season. ' The first practice game will be pjayed pn Saturday afternoon at Winchester Street, and will be f.or players in both centres, After the close ot ,the meeting, the local players formed a combined ladies' and men's elub, whic ' hwill be known as the Levin Hockey Club-.
