At the. Young Farmers' Cllubs stock judging day on- the'A and_P. showgrounds, Levin, yescv-iday, Mr. Ian Campbell, of Levin, , was adj-udged the winner of the v.u Lewis Cup for the contestant gain- , ing. the most points^, Mr. Campbell secured a first in the Romney ewe elass, a first in the dairy cow ulass and a Second in the Southdown ram class. ,, The following were the detaued results,. winners •being from the Levin Club unless otherwise stated: — Romney ewes : I. Campbell 1, RBlackburne 2, B. Fitzgerald 3. Southdown rams: R. Denton 1, l. Campbell 2, ,W. J. Coppen 3 _ Dairy cows: I. Campbell 1, B. Fitzgerald 2, D. Corrie- (Upper Hutt) 3. . ... , Draught horses: R. Hewitt 1, D. Newall 2, D. Law 3.- - Baconer pigs-«W. G. Coppen 1, R. Hewitt 2, D. Kilsby 3. .Tudffes of the various competi-
tions were: — -Romney ewes: Mr. M. P. Neilsen, Tiakitahuna; Southdown rams: Mr. G. W. Munford, Shannon; dairy cows: Mr. M. D. Murray, Woodville,; pigs: Mr. M. W. Williams, Opiki; horses: Mr. V. Bird, Oroua Downs. Presenting the trophy -to Mr. Campbell on behalf of the donor,, Mr. H. J. Lancaster, senior advis-{ ory member of the Levin Young Farmers' Club, tendered his eongratulations and thanked all those who had attended and completed. He was "sorry that more members of the southern clubs had not been in attendance. He was sure ..that those .who had attended had had a good day, and had learnt something more. . * The chairman of the Levin Club and member ' of the district committee of Young Farmers' Clubs, Mr. D. Kilsby, then present'ed the certificates. After congratulating the' winners, he extended ' , his thanks to the judges for their part in the day's activities, stating that no better judges could have been found. He also thanked all those who had assisted, making particular refefence to the district secretary, ,Mr. J. M. Hopkins, who haddone "a great deal of work and helped the committee considerably.
