Two Rep. Softball Games in Levin
The Horowhenua lady softball representatlves, playing their .first gqme sipce returning; from" the' -receht New Zeaiand ; championships at Auckland, beat the Wellington junior A ladies 12—8 ahd an innings in a match at Levin during the weekend. Horowhenua p'roved a superior combination. . A match between the Horowhenua and Wellington men's teams saw the latter win 15—8. It drew forth gqod softball. Faulty overthrowing by Horowhenua gave Wellington four runs. Rosson scored a home run for Horowhenua. The results of Saturday's competition games were as follows: Ajax 36, Kimberley Diamonds A 7; Wanderers 20, Pirates 11; Aces 24. Kimberley Diamonds B 26; Wanderers 26, Raukawa 16.
