MarsliaJl, owner of Howe, to the Racing Conferenee against the deeision of the Auckland Distriet Committee whieh conlirmed the aetion taken by the Auckland Racing Glub 's judieial committee in reversing the placings in the 1947 Auck]a.nd . Cup -.andaaxyfi^lng' the kaeo 1 to Balgoveah- ^was- opeyieS at Wellington today and after a lengthv sitting was adjourned for a f-uture hearing. Mr. II. V. Lunken,K owner of King's Ransom, has also appealed and this is being heard in conjunetion with Mr. Marshall's appeai. The judges are hlessrs. J. Macfarlane Laing (Masterton), J. Graham (Feilding) and P. A. O 'Neill (Wanganui), Dr. 0. C. Mazengarb, K.C., is appearing for Mr. Marshall, Mr. W. E. Leieester for Mr. Lunken and - Mr. W. E. Mereditb for the Auckland Distriet Committee.
