, TIMARU, March 8. Patiiek Fergus Brosnan, a married man, aged, 40, of Kerrytown, was drowned in an irrigation raee on the Kerrytown Road at 4.30 p.m. to-day. Aceompanied by a small boy Brosnan had been droving eattle along the road and he apparently slipped near the edge of the race. The boy immediately ran for assistanee.
