CZECH AMBASSADORS RESIGN
Received Thursday, 11.10 a.m. WASHINGTON, March 3. The Czec^i ambassador to the United States, M. Juraj Slavik, today announced his resignation. He said that President Benes had "acted under terrible pressure and duress" in the recent political developments. ''Czechoslovakia has become a fully totalitarian police state," he continued. "I have decided to fight •for Czeehoslov'ak democracy. I am the representative of a free and democratic Czechoslovakia, and I cannot accept as legal the Goverriment nominated by • President Benes under duress and terror." In Ottawa, the Czechoslovakian Mmister to Canada, Dr. Frantisek Nemec, also announced that he has re. lgned his post and will remain m Canada as a private citizen.- Dr Nemec said that practically all his sialr has also resigned and will remain in Canada.
