Ladies' Bowling Club's Pairs Final
The final of the . Levin Ladies' Bowling Club pairs championship resulted in a win for Mesdames Lett an'd Gibson (s) 23; over Mesdames Shell and Lacey (s) 17. - In a challenge match for the singles brooch, Mrs. Forster, 22; defeated the holder, Mrs. Gibson, 16. Two first-year players met jn a singles match for the challenge trophy, the result after a closely oontested game being, Mrs. Nichols, holder, 20; Mrs. Andrews, 15. Sixteen players took part in a cpmpetition for the, Lett Brooches on • Thursday ; last, the result " being a win for Mesdames McKinstry and C. Walker (s) . Two fours from .the club will proceed to Island Bay on Tuesday to take part in a Gala Day tournament. LEVIN BOWLING CLUB PAYS / VISIT TO RAUMATI The Levin Bowling Club reqently visited Raumati South, a very en.jqyable day being spent. The results are as follows, Raumati skips being mentioned first: — Phillips lost to Meades, 10—20; Pethwick won from Greggan, 22 — 14; Davidson lost to Lemmon, 13— 22; Cummins beat Bull, 18—14; Frankish beat Hughes, 19 — 12; Douglas lost to A. O. Powell, 18—22. Aggregate points: Raumati South, 106; Levin, 102.
