Scrub Fire At Otaki Beach
Several acres of lupins were destroyed by a large fire at Otaki Beach yestcrday afternoon. A number of young pines part of a plantation planted to protect a new motok camp near , the Waitohu River, at the north end of the beach, were also destroyed The fire started at 4 o'clock. It was put out by the Otaki volunteer Fire Brigade after about an hour's work. _____
