Extremes Of Temperature Recorded Last Month
There has, been a considerable decrease in" the amount of rain which has fallen over the district during February when compared with figures fqr the same peripd last year, reports- Mr. H. Harvey, Cambridge Street, Levin. During last month, 2.73' inches of rain fefl, as against ^3.60 inches last year. Rain fell ori nine days, the heayiest fa'll being on Tuesday, February 3, when 1.47 inches were recorded? The previous day, Monday, February 2, the highest temperature was recorded, the thermometer reaching 89 degrees. On Thursdqy, Febr ruary 26, the mercury drop'ped to freezing point.
