The virtuallv complete loss of the steel city of Anshan to the Communist storm forces, was acknowledged todav by pro-(!overnmont Chinese dispatches from Manehuria. The Communists, who had b^seiged the city for several weeks, broke iu in ovei'whelming numbers and drove the bulk of the garrison into the north-western suburbs where fighting is progressing.
