i Beef values sluiuped badly though there was a yarding of only 120 head. Butchers were selective in their buying and a nutnber of pens were passeu. Saies cft'ected were 20s to' 30s cheapei than last week. Heavy bullocks made £23 8s Od but bulky ox t'ailed to reach the reserve. Top price for heifer beef was £16 3s 0d, prime heifers £13 ls to £13 13s 6d, lighter £11 to £12. Prime eows sold at £12 8s 6d to £13 13s 6d, unfinislied at £11 11s to £.11 18s Gd, exdairy sorts £6 6s to £S 18s Od. Again no store cattle were on offer. A firm inarket w.as maintaiued for fat sheep Avhen anotlier sliort yarding came forward. JTime wetliers made 40s 7d to 40s lOd, medium 36s lOd to 37s lOd, and unfinislied 31s lOd to 33s lOd. Butchers paid 29s 7d to 30s 1(1 for prime ewes, 22s 7d to 24s 7d for unfinislied and to "3Ss lOd for young ewesv Lambs sold at 33s 7d and ..Down 2-tlis at 40s 4d.
