Pretty Wedding Of Otaki Interest

The marriage of •Dorothy Ethel, second daughter of Mr. J. E. and the late Mrs. James, the school-h-ouse, Otaki, to . George Lloyd, youngest son of Mr. F. and the late Mrs-. Lansdown, Hastings, was celebrated. at * Chalmers PresbyterianChurch, Otaki, recently. Rev. J. W. Martin of Shannon, offlciated, assisted by Rev. W. Nichqlas, of Otaki. Mrs. Bartholomew, aimt of the bri'de, was at the organ. . Escorte-d by her father, the bride entered the church .which had been tastefully decorated with lilies and- gladioli. An off -white cloque gown, featuring a gathered bodice, and falling to a fUll-length train was. the bride's choice, her •hand-embroidered veil being held 'in place by a tatted halo. A shower bouquet of lilies and gladioli completed the charming picture. She was attended by her sister, Miss E. James and Miss T. Lansdown, sister of the bridegroom, wearing frocks of floral marquisette over pink and biue satin respectively, with toning jflowers in their bouquets and hair. IMr. C. Lansdown, the bridegroom's brother, was bestman, and Mr. M. Gillet, Lower Hutt, was groomsj man. As the happy couple left the 'church, little Margaret Law, cousin of the bride, presented the couple with a silver horse shoe. The reception was held at the Anglican Hall, where the guests were received by Mrs. Bartholomew, wearing an ice-blue suit embroidered in . deeper shades, relieved by navy aceessories and a fuchsia shoulder-spray. She' was assisted by Mrs. M. Gillet, sister of the 'groom, wearing a navy costume and cream aceessories. The bride left for her beach honeymoon wearing a powder-blue model frock, toning veiled toque hat, grey ■ coat and navy aceessories. Mr. and Mrs. Lansdown's future home will be in Hawke's Bay. \ ~
