Pcrsoixstl Mr Bruce McKay, who has been on a holiday trip to Hawke's Bay,returned to- Otaki yesterday. Football ProteSt . ' A deputation from the Foxton; Football Club waited on the Foxton Borough Council at its monthly meeting on Monday protesting against the attitude of the Horow'henua Rugb'y Union with regard *to football locally and submitting propositions to the council concerning the control of Easton Park •during the 1948 rugby season. As a result the council decided to ask for 20 per cent. of gate takings from the union instead of accepting 10 per cent. as in the past.
