Eisenhower Foresees Troubie In Soviet Expansion

Received Monday, 9.30 a.m. WASHINGTON, Feb. 15. . General Eisenhower; in his final report before he retired as the. Army - Chief of Staff, said- that if a militant political party "succeeded in • its objeetive of bringing Western Europe under Soviet domination, the United States would find itself facing a despotic colossus."
The report, which was released today, declared that the United States must watch the Middle East and Far East and that if the American ' supply lines in ^the Mediterranean should be cut The eft'ects would be "instant and chaotic." General Eisenhower called for a strengthening of the United States forces, which he described as inadequate for defence. He appeale'd for support for the Marshall Plan and continued United States backing of the United Nations. . /
