North Beats South By Two Wickets
DUNEDIN, Feb. 10. Nortlx Island defeated South Island by tvvo wickets in an exciting iinisli at Carisbrook this afternoon. The day's play was dominated by the brilJiant lefthander, Sutcliffe, wlio made 20S not out in a superb exhibition of battiug. He hit 20 fours in a stay a; the wickets of over live koura and none of the bowlers coutd make any iuipression. The only cliance he gave was at 197 when l'xe was dropped behind the stumps.
