As a result we are still uncertain how many senior students are returning, and the response to publicity asking- senior. students to notify us of their: intentions has beenvon!ly fair, This has created a real difficulty in the planning of correspondence work." • The examination results had been very satisfactory, said Mr. Byrne. In the examination for, science bursaries, there were, three' candidates and they had all passed.. The matriculation examination: had resulted in 80 per cent, passes, 21 candidates sitting, - 13 being' aecredited and four passing the examination. •In • the school pertificate examinations 33 candidates attempted the, examination and 21 passed. In this examination, 66 and two thirdS per cent. of the candidates were successful. Owing to the closing of the schools, the shorthand-typing examinataons coiild not be held.
