Novel Cricket Match Drawn

A match that cause'd a good deal of intqrest was played at the weekend between represe'ntatrves ot the Licensed yictiiallers and Tramers and Jockeys. Some good fonn was shown by several players, tne game eventually ending in, a draw, 189 runs each. For the TramerJockey team, W. "Connor batted attractively for over half a century, his leg hitting being of a high order, while W. Hodges played well for 40, his supreme' effort being on the off. For the Licensed Victuallers, J. Burt played a good all-round game' for 48, 'while Stan Nesbitt, a well-known cricketer in his young days, scored 57. In the bowling Clem Bowry captured no less than eight wickets for 31, including the hat trick, while Clarrie Hook, for the Licensed Victuallers, was the chief trundler, capturing six wickets for 24. On account of the scores being even, another match will result, with both sides sanguine of victory.
