Horowhenua Senior Cricket After taking the lead early in the season in the 'Horowhenua seiiior cricket competition, the College eleyen, one of the keepest on ihe field, lost it to Levin on Saturday as a result of-. their defeat at the harids' of . Old Boys, Levin and Weraroa each secure'd eight ' point wins and Foxton a five pointer. Foxton A margin of only 12 runs • gave Foxton a five point win over Otaki. First use of the wicket went to Otaki, who were dismissed for 149. A feat'ure of the innings was a fine knock by Rice, who had "hotched 73 before falling a .victim lbw. tp Newth. Foxton replied with 161, Rogers contributing 48 and Greep.

Shannon batted first and made 41. Galloway took six wickets for 10 ruri's and H. Baumber four for 11. Levin replied with 142, F. Baumber making a solid half-centyry, Weir 37 and H. Baumber 25 not out. For Shannon, Roach took two wickets for 32 runs.
