Personal 1 t. v Mr. and Mrs. A,. F. Birss, of Sheehan Street, have' returned home aftdr spending an extended holiday in the South Island. "... ^ Mrs. C. B. Gunning, Bryce Street, has returned home after spending eight weeks holiday with- her daughter, Mrs. K. Henry "at 'Wellington. Mrs. Henry accompanied her mother and will ■ remain . in Shannon for a few days. " Visitors to Shannon over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kin^ of Wellington, .and Mr. and Mrs. Frank'King, who were returning to Patea after a holiday in Christchurch. A former resident of Shannon, Mr. "Jerry" Coakley, of Greymouth, also passed through the town»on his way to Patea. All were the guests of Mr. T. H. King, Stout Street.
