Mrs. M. Moore, of Weraroa, accompanied by her sister, Mrs. E. Murphy, of Sydney, has returned home from an enjoyable holiday in invercargill and Queenstown. . The condition of Miss H. E. Bowen, who has been seriously ill for several weeks, « continues unchaiiged and is causing her relatives and friends considerable anxiety. Mr. and Miss Petherick and Mrs. E. Sowerby, of Wellington, Mrs. C. Dalbeth, of Akaroa, and Mrs. W. Wiggins and Mr. and Mrs. and Miss Saunders, of Wairarapa, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Walker for the marriage today of their daughter, Nola, to Mr. J. E, Fullarton. Mr. E. I. Fritchley has resigned from the staff of the Levin Post Omc6 after 19 years with the civil service.. Members of the staff recently made.a presentation to him m recognition of his term of officewith -them. Mr. Fritqhley will takeup business on his own account in Levin, He.will be replac.ed by Mr S.
