Levin Croquet Players At Otaki
Members of the Leyin Croquet ClUb jpurneyed to Paekakariki on Tuesday to play in a Couneil Cup match. The singles were completed during the morning in flne weather, but heavy rain set in after lunch ! and games had to be abandoned before thby were flnalised. Individual results, with Paekakariki players mentioned first in each instance, were: — Singles: Mrs. Nichol beat Mrs. Bull 26 — 14, Mrs. Shaw lost to Mrs. Hynes 18 — 24. Doubles (uncompleted) : Mesdames Thornton and Keats 9, Mesdames Boulton and Murray 6; MeSdam.es Patterson and Eastwood 14, Mesdames Telford and Williams 13. The following are. the results of the lo'cal club's weekly matches: Kirk Cup, MrS. Dalzell beat Mrs. MUdgWay 26—22; Walker Cup, Mrs. Biill beat Mrs. Murray 26 — 15; Brown Buttons, Mesdames Pine and Boulton beat Mesdames Dalzell and Murray. , On February 18 the club is holding a gdla.day. In a previous report of inter-club play, the club which caiiie foiirth, was omitted.
