Circus and sideshow proprietors flnd thb infantile paralysis restrictions are causiiig them, and their families, hardship. Many of the sideshows rely oh A. and P. shows, for a • large proportion of their inc'ome. It is reported that some 18 Shows have been cancelled because bf the restrictions. The owher of a sideshow in Levin yesterday told "The Chronicle" that he had had to put flve men ofl since Christmas. He had been in Levin.three days and had not even netted wages for himself ,during that period. When the pafalysis restrictions V/ere hrst imposed, he had bfeen in the South lslaiidrand had lost a great deal of money.
