Two 21st Birthday Parties In Shannon

On Saturday night, „ two local homes celebrated the 21st birthdays of soris. Members of'the family of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Munford, Pretoria Road, journeyed -to Shannon for the weekend to exterid congratulations in person to Hugh and Lynne, . the • twin brothers of .the family. A number of friends gathered at the evening , party at the homestead when Mr. A. E. Burling an'd Mrs. M. Taylor, Wellington, entertained. Mr. Taylor screened some very interesting and delightful films on his home projector. The birthday cake. with its candles and two goldeirkeys was a feature of the s'upper table. The golden keys were later presented to the brothers. At the same time, the home Of Mr. and Mrs. Len Lincoln, in 'Stafford Street, was- the scene of rejoieing as many friends gathered to congratulate their only son, Ron, on Teaching his majority. Here again, a large birthday cake was the centre of attraction, the cut'ting of which was carried out with the usual musical honours., At a suitable juncture Mr. Lincoln handed over the key of the door to his son.
