An efficient veterinary service was important in maintaining not only production but also quality. Mr. H. S. S. Kyle, chairman of the College Board of Governors, wdio is a veterinary surgeon himseif, also' w*elcomed visitors to the conferenee. He said it was the flrst annual conferenee of the association to be held in the South Island.
