Received Wednfcsday, 11.5 a.m. LONDON, Feb. 3. A referee in r, Wolverhampton works soccer match was about to blovv for a penalty when lightning struck l,ds whistle. He stood transfixed, with his arai outstretchecL and unable to-'move until a * player too-k the whistle from hiS grasp. ' ' • The referee suffered shock, but was otherwise unharmed aird carried on after a short rest.
