First Prize In Art Union To Auckland Man
Wellington, Feb, 4. The "Lucky '48" art union; drawh in Wellington today, resulted in the first prize of £2000 going to an Auckland man,* George Berry, of Pokeno.. The winning txcket was numbered 95243. The other prinicipal prize- winners were: t Second prize, £500: 70278, "Taima October," Rotorua. ^ Third prize, £250: 15.450, A.C.K. Always Welcome," Auckland. Fourth prize, >£150: 188133, "Johnny," Nelson, of Blenheim butt. Fifth prize, £100: 205578, "Stormy Day," Christchurch. .
